It is a very imposing Burgundian farmhouse built in 1732 that was attached to the Château de Villeniard. Like most castles in the region, this estate belonged to the Princely House of Mérode, a family of the high Belgian nobility. The farm's dimensions are so significant because the objective was to feed the castle's population as well as all the peasants and servants working for this important family. The farm was later sold to a farming family in 1953 and in 2020 the building joined Wedding Venues Luxury. It was a ruin: everything had to be done and yet, it was obvious that it was the ideal place to celebrate wedding receptions.
